Diane Braun

I was born and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. I earned my BA in physics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. I received my MA and am ABD (All But Dissertation) for my doctorate in medieval history at the University of Arizona. Latin was my minor for my PhD.

I have been editing, proofreading, researching, and writing since 1991. I love books, have an almost scary knowledge of English grammar, and thoroughly enjoy researching and writing.

I currently live in central Arizona where I raise Cotswold sheep. When I’m not editing, researching, or writing, I weave, spin, knit, bake, hike, read, and garden.

GMR Transcription Services, Tustin, CA. Freelance transcriptionist (8/2011-7/2012) - Working remotely, I transcribed audio files.
Partners in Medicine, Phoenix, AZ. Medical biller/coder (4/2001-4/2011) - I coded and billed office visits and performed a multitude of other tasks. I telecommuted the last eight years, going into the office once a week.
Freelance editor. (10/1991-present) - In graduate school and while holding other jobs, I've edited, proofread, researched, and wrote for a variety of clients and venues, ranging from history to medicine, genealogy to fiction.
